Check it out:
Harrison Hot Springs: Just an hour north of Vancouver, these hot springs are sure to leave you feeling relaxed and ready to go! There are five toasty mineral pools to soak your troubles away. Did we also mention that they offer fantastic gourmet meals? You get to choose from either the public pool, or you can get really fancy and book a night in the hotel, enjoying the more private pools they have to offer. Go on, you deserve to treat yourself!
Whistler: Nestled in the rocky mountains a 1 ½ hour drive from Vancouver, Whistler is as beautiful in summer and fall as it is when the fresh powder falls. The village nearby offers some cool shopping opportunities, as well as plenty of places to choose from to chow down. Hit the mountain itself and you can do some extreme cycling, or soar through on the zipline.
Bowen Island: Take a ferry from West Vancouver and 20 minutes later, you’ll find yourself at this picturesque island. It offers a variety of shops and activities, including biking, swimming, and great hiking trails. You’ll find this is the perfect day trip for keeping it cheap and simple, while also having a great time.
Cypress Mountain: Strap on your skis and get ready to race with family and friends. If you’re in Vancouver in the winter months and not looking to go very far, this is the perfect spot. It’s only 30 minutes if you’re leaving from downtown Vancouver. Quick and easy, find your mountain legs while you attempt to conquer the icy slopes of Cypress.
