It’s late at night – or maybe it’s early n thee morning. Who cares, all you know is that you’re not ready to go home. So where to?
If you’re hungry head over to the Granville Entertainment District where a big plate of French fries covered in gravy and cheese is waiting for you. The name of this palace of comfort food is Fritz European Fry House and you’ll probably have to wait in line to get your order – sorry, but it is one of the best-known places in Vancouver to cure a hangover before it even gets a hold of you! Rock up at 4am and you’ll be surrounded by fellow late-night diners.
If you’re not into French fries, but are on a “I bought too much beer” budgt, a pizza at Goldies is your best bet. You can see the tasty offerings laid out on a long, wooden board that has a strangely magnetic pull no matter how many pints you’ve put away. Don’t worry, you won’t be disappointed, the pizza tastes great and the atmosphere is pretty fun for a late-night joint.
But hey, we have your back even if you’re a party animal and you’re still looking for a place to get down. If you’re downtown, then Hawksworth Restaurant is the perfect place to be. It’s a chic, art deco restaurant where the prices are a bit higher than usual, but it’s all worth it. The long menu will satisfy any night-owl foodie, with dishes like beef tartar, octopus, and sablefish that should be followed by the brilliant panna cotta!
On the other hand, if you’re just looking for a pub where you can go and have another drink with your friends, you have to visit the Alibi Room. You’ll probably have to wait for a table even at 3AM, but the extensive beer list will make your forget about that. Pair your brew with a large, juicy burger with extra bacon and you’ve got yourself the perfect ending to an epic night.
