At CorporateStays, we have lots of interesting guest staying with us from all around the world – each working in a multitude of diverse fields and industries.

The one thing they all have in common is that they’re travelling and experiencing a new city while on business!

This is why we’ve launched our new INSIDER SERIES.

Every month moving into 2017,  you can expect new video interviews that will give you business travel tips and a greater insights into what it’s like experiencing CorporateStays lifestyle.

On our very first episode, we’re joined by Tiffany Bennicke, an LA voice actress/model who’s travelling to Montreal with her husband Rune from Dreamwork.

Watch the interview for business travel tips and insights, and why they chose CorporateStays.

CS: HEY, TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOURSELF

TB: My name is Tiffany Bennicke and I’m living here at 400 Sherbrooke West through CorporateStays. To get to know Montreal and see what’s here and experience every season. We’re going to be here for the full winter which I’ve never experience so I’m kind of excited about that.

CS: WHAT BRINGS YOU TO MONTREAL?

TB: I’m here mostly because of my husband’s job. He works at Dream Works and he’s working on a film that they’re outsourcing here.

Dream Works got me a work permit as well, so I was able to get a work permit to sign with agencies here. I’m actually represented with agencies here. So I’m actually represented for voice over and modelling.

CS: DO YOU TRAVEL FOR BUSINESS OFTEN?

TB: I mean before I got married to my husband I travelled mostly for modelling jobs. This is the first time we’re out of the country, using different currency. We’re enjoying it, it’s nice to live outside of — to try something new.

CS: WHAT IS A MUST-SEE IN MONTREAL?

TB: Definitely the festivals! When we were coming here for summer everyone told us you have to see the festivals! And when [they] said festivals I thought it was going to be like three or five festivals. But there’s festivals every single day! You guys have so much to do, and they’re so interactive, and you can actually go in things, and do things, and there’s games!

Definitely see Parc Mont-Royal, or “Mount Royal”. The hike is a workout but the view is incredible. So many good restaurants here, definitely try poutine.

CS: BUSINESS TRAVEL ESSENTIALS

TB: I’m a voice actor, I always bring my laptop for my editing programs and my microphone.

CS: HOW DO YOU RELAX ON A BUSINESS TRIP?

TB: Nature. I mean we’re in the middle of a city, just going into the park is the best thing ever. Or just rent a car and go out of town. The best thing about Montreal is that you’re a city and you’re very concentrated, there’s so much to do here. But there’s also so much to do outside of it. Apple picking, there’s so many farms just around outside of the city. We went to Mont-Tremblant!

CS: WHAT MAKES YOU FEEL AT HOME?

TB: What makes me feel like I’m home when I’m away on business… you know what makes me feel like I’m home actually? That is a little someone, that little creature over there, Gucci my dog. That’s what makes me feel like I’m at home when I’m away on business.

CS: ANY HELPFUL TRAVEL APPS?

TB: The most helpful one or travelling has been my OANDA Currency Exchange app. I use that almost every single day. I walk around, I buy something here in Canada – I’m like how much money did I really spend?

CS: ANY SECRET TRAVEL TIPS?

TB: One way to go faster at check-ins, and I’m kind of a nerd for doing this. I always remember my reference number before I go in (to the airport). So when I go to check-in with a screen or a person, they pull it up immediately. So that makes it a little bit quicker.

CS: WHY DID YOU CHOOSE CORPORATESTAYS?

TB: So I did some research for apartments in Montreal, extended stays, things like that. And I saw, I think there were top 3 websites. But I really liked the quality and the caliber and the quality I found corporatestays the best. Now they had maybe 4 different ones I was interested in. I contacted a representative who I had been working with, and he’s been great. His name is Stephane, he helped us get into this penthouse, which was actually one of my first choices. It was my top choice!
